Overnight fire ruins Fort Whyte home

The Fire Commissioner is investigating a blaze that caused heavy damage to a Fort Whyte home overnight.

The house in the 100 block of Sigma Avenue, just off McGillivray Boulevard, will likely be a total write-off.

Windows were smashed out and the flames burned through much of the roof during the fire about 3 a.m.
