Firefighters fight fires in garage, vacant house
Winnipeg firefighters fought two blazes early this morning.
A garage fire in the 1300 block of Kildare Avenue East caused $50,000 in damages. There were no injuries. Firefighters were called to the Transcona home at 4 a.m.
Meanwhile, a fire at 1:30 a.m. caused an estimated $15,000 in damages to a vacant house in the 600 block of Dufferin Avenue.
"We are not confirming arson at this time," a police spokeswoman said this morning.
