RCMP have located the body of fisherman struck by an all-terrain vehicle over the weekend.
A 39-year-old man from Brandon was found in the Rivers Reservoir spillway by Blue Hills RCMP members and emergency personnel on Monday, two days after a 58-year-old woman from Rivers lost control of her ATV on an embankment and struck the man, sending him into the reservoir.
He was fishing at the scene at the time of the accident. His name was not released.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday evening.
Search and rescue crews found the man’s body slightly submerged in the water, approximately one and a half kilometres from where he was knocked in.
RCMP say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The investigation continues.
