The fogging trucks have been parked — at least for the time being.
The city announced the adult nuisance-mosquito fogging program has been suspended due to low mosquito activity.
According to the public works department, the Winnipeg-wide average adult mosquito trap count for today was 26, and all quadrants are below 100 mosquitoes.
The city reports that the current mosquito population is nearing the end of its life cycle due to the warmer temperatures in the region over the last week or so.
More good news on the skeeter front: no significant emergence of mosquitoes is expected in the next two weeks.
