Forecast not too frightful

  • Print

Weather-wise, it’s a not-so-scary start to the year’s spookiest week.

The lead-up to Halloween will be cool and mostly cloudy, but snowsuits and big boots will not be the most popular costume when the kids head out to trick-or-treat on Thursday.

Monday’s weather will feature a mix of sun and cloud, with temperatures rising only to a chilly minus 2 degrees during the day. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with skies clearing toward Tuesday morning as the mercury dips to minus 10 degrees overnight. The outlook for Tuesday is for sunny skies with the temperature rising only to zero.

Wednesday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of five degrees; Halloween could bring a few showers and a high of seven; the long-term outlook for Friday calls for cloudy skies with a high of six degrees.

See? That’s hardly frightening at all.
