Former cop pleads guilty to sexual assault

Former Winnipeg Police Service officer Richard Dow pleaded guilty to 11 counts of sexual assault Tuesday.

Dow was present in the courtroom when lawyer Marty Minuk related the details of the sexual assaults, which happened between 2001 and 2005.

Court heard that the sexual assaults happened while Dow was doing photo shoots with the women, who were in their late teens or early 20s.

Dow wants to serve a conditional sentence, but lawyers acting for the Crown said they want him to do jail time.

A sentencing hearing will happen later.
