The Depression forced Leo Flood to drop out of the recently-opened St. Paul’s High School in 1931.
He never got a chance to go back and finish.
But today, Flood turned 100, and at a ceremony at Misericordia Place nursing home, St. Paul’s president Father Leonard Altilia presented Flood with an honourary diploma.
How to live to 100? "I just lived and worked," said Flood.
