Frosty Winnipeg welcomes sunny skies

Manitobans might recognize an old friend who has appeared again this morning after an absence – the sun.

After rain and frost warnings dominated the forecast over the last few days, sunny skies returned Wednesday morning and should remain through the weekend.

Environment Canada’s forecast for today calls for sunny skies and a high of 18 C while Thursday should be a bit warmer, with temperatures reaching the norm for the period, 22 C.

There is a 30 per cent chance of showers on Friday with a high of 20 C while the weekend looks promising with temperatures hitting 24 C on Saturday and 22 C on Sunday.
