Garbage, recycling pickup to continue as normal on Louis Riel Day

Garbage and recycling will be collected on Louis Riel Day.

City of Winnipeg officials said Monday's regularly scheduled garbage and recycling pickup will continue on the holiday. All civic offices, libraries, and leisure centres will be closed on Louis Riel Day, and Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

All city pools will be closed Monday except for Pan Am Pool, which will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, which will be open between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
