Get set for first real scorcher of year

  • Print

Take your lunch outside today.

If you do venture out, however, be mindful of the possibility that you may not want to go back to work thanks to the incredible forecast put forth by Environment Canada.

How do mainly sunny skies and a daytime high of 30 C this afternoon sound?

The normal high for this time of year are 25 C. Monday, which felt like the first real scorcher of the year, reached 27.6 C, according to the national weather service.

Enjoy the dry conditions today because tonight looks like it could be wet again. The forecast is calling for a few showers (and the possibility of a thunderstorm or two) starting this evening right through to the morning.

Wednesday is headed towards a mix and sun and cloud with a 60 per cent chance of showers (plus a risk of a thundershower) in the afternoon; 27 C is the forecast daytime high.
