Give it away, give it away now... well, next weekend

If you're looking to do some end-of-summer cleaning, now's your chance.

The city will host its fall curbside giveaway weekend on Sept. 8 and 9. Residents can place any unwanted items labeled with a "free" sticker at their curb on the front street. Examples include books, furniture, sports equipment, toys, yard and gardening tools and equipment, kitchen gadgets, clothes, and construction material.

City of Winnipeg officials say residents should not put out hazardous material or any items which could be unsafe or carry bedbugs.

Winnipeggers are only to take items marked "free" and not walk or drive on people's lawns.
