Great day to show your pride

  • Print

It's shaping up to be a beautiful day to celebrate Pride Winnipeg.

Environment Canada predicts a high of 27 C, with some cloud coverage this morning that should evaporate by afternoon.

The UV index is 7 or high, so make sure to slather on some sunscreen before leaving the house.

The Pride Winnipeg festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. with a rally at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

From there, the much-anticipated Pride parade will begin its tour down Memorial Boulevard at noon, ultimately ending where it began at the Legislative grounds.

A family-friendly festival at The Forks and an official Pride after party at the Metropolitan Event Centre are scheduled to wrap up the day.
