Here comes the sun

Don't be alarmed -- that bright yellow sphere in the sky is supposed to be there.

After a weekend of grey skies and wet weather, Environment Canada is calling for sunshine and a high of 21 C this afternoon. The west wind, at 20 km/h, should help dry things out, as well.

According to the Environment Canada website, Winnipeg saw 40.1 millimetres of rain at Richardson International Airport Sunday.

Tonight, look for clear skies and a low of 9 C.

Conditions should start to warm up further on Tuesday, with a high of 23 C expected.

Wednesday’s forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud and a high near 27 C.
