High Valley performs at News Café: Replay

  • Print

Canadian pop country trio High Valley performed at the News Café and had chat with music journalist John Kendle Tuesday afternoon.

Made up by three brothers – Brad, Bryan and Curtis Rempel – who grew up on a farm in northern Alberta, High Valley has been performing since before the boys were teens. Now in their 20s, the Rempels have released three full-length albums in the past six years -- a self-released effort called Broken Borders in 2007 as well as two recordings for Canadian country label Open Road, 2010’s High Valley and last year’s Love is a Long Road.

Currently opening for American vocal quartet Little Big Town as part of that group’s Tornado Tour, High Valley has been a multiple winner at the Canadian Gospel Music Association’s Covenant Awards.

The Tornado Tour stops at Pantages Playhouse Tuesday night. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available at ticketmaster.ca.
