Highways are open, but conditions not ideal

All major highways are open this morning, the province reports

Still, conditions are far from ideal.

Many sections of Highway 1 from the city to the Ontario border are snow-packed and at least partly ice-covered.

Highways 2 and 3 are partly snow-covered.

North of the city, highways 7, 8, and 9 are not only snow-packed in many areas, but there is considerable drifting snow.
