International Centre for Infectious Diseases moves in at U of W

The University of Winnipeg welcomed a new tenant today in the International Centre for Infectious Diseases.
The infectious diseases centre and its 30 employees have moved into offices on the main floor of the Richardson College for the Environment and Science complex. This will open the door to new research collaborations at the university.
For example, the university's biology department is in the same building. The biology faculty is targeting diseases linked to viruses (like Alzheimers and ALS), fungi (white-nose disease in bats) and protozoa (malaria).
The ICID is a not-for-profit group that brings together people and resources to target infectious diseases.
