Let's hope summer weather finally setting in

  • Print

Good day, sunshine.

It's true, a sunny day is expected with a summer-like high of 23 C.

After that wash-out of a weekend with so much rain and cold, that feels positively balmy.

There's even a UV index of 8 (or very high) so remember your sunscreen and hat if you are spending time outside today.

Speaking of balmy, let's head right into sweltering, shall we?

Environment Canada says things are really going to get cooking later in the week and over the weekend with lots of sun and heat.

Wednesday's expected high is 27 C followed by 30 C on Thursday.

There's a mix of sun and cloud for Friday with a high of 30 C and a 30 percent chance of showers.

More sun is in the weekend forecast. A high of 27 C on Saturday is expected with a low of 16 C, followed by Sunday's high of 31 C and low of 19 C

This week's forecast, at this point, is more in line with the normals for this time of year -- high of 26 C and low of 13 C.
