Man, 43, faces charges after Main Street melee

A 43-year-old man is facing several charges after a melee at a Main Street apartment building early Saturday.

Police responded to the building on the 800 block of Main at about 12:30 a.m. this morning after an altercation involving two couples.

The incident happened during a drinking party in one of the building’s suites, said police.

Four people – two men, aged 44 years old and 43 years old, and two women, aged 47 years old and 28 years-old – were injured.

Police said the 44-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his upper body, and the 47-year-old woman and 28-year-old woman were physically assaulted.

The four were known to each other. A 43-year-old man is facing several charges in connection with what happened, said police.

Officers from District 3 are investigating.
