Two people are dead following a single vehicle rollover near Ste. Anne Monday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m., when Steinbach RCMP and emergency personnel responded to an accident on the Trans-Canada Highway, just west of the Highway 12 junction.
The occupants of the vehicle were transported to Ste. Anne Hospital. The passenger, a 59-year-old man, was pronounced dead. The driver, a 73-year-old woman, later died of her injuries as well.
The names of the victims will not be released.
Slippery conditions were considered a factor in the crash. Police are still investigating.
