  • Print

A 60-year-old man faces drug and weapons charges after a police raid on an inner-city home.

Police said a variety of prescription pills worth more than $12,000, cash, cellphones, a stun gun and assorted knives were found after they searched a home in the 600 block of William Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The medications seized included methadone, morphine and OxyContin. On the street, they're worth $12,805, police said.

A lone man was found in the home and arrested and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

Police didn't identify him as he has yet to be formally charged.
