Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a 27-year-old man in an overnight robbery.

Police say they were called to the scene of a robbery at a convenience store in the 100 block of Marion Street about 2:35 a.m. Thursday morning and found a male suspect still on the scene. Police say two male employees reported the suspect, armed with a weapon, had just robbed them of cash and cigarettes.

Police say the man was arrested and charged with robbery in the incident. A second charge of theft was also added in connection with a recent unrelated theft at a business in the 300 block of Donald Street.
