Man charged after liquor taken from Exchange District businesses

Winnipeg police say they have a man in custody charged with a string of break-ins.

The same Exchange District businesses were repeatedly targeted as far back as last summer, police said.

Liquor was the target both times at one location in the 200 block of Bannatyne Avenue on Aug. 22, Aug. 25 and again on Nov. 3 and Nov. 7.

Liquor was also the target at another business in the 100 block of Princess Street on Dec. 20 and Dec. 30.

Electronic equipment was stolen Nov. 7 at a third address on the edge of the Exchange in the 200 block of Stanley Avenue.

Police arrested a suspect Friday without incident at a downtown residence.

Terrance Sinclair, 20, faces multiple charges.
