Man missing on Virden-Edmonton bus trip found

Edmonton police have located an elderly man who had gone missing.

John Clark Rose, 75, boarded a Greyhound bus in Virden at 3:45 p.m. Monday with three bags of personal belongings. His bus arrived in Edmonton the next morning at 10:30 a.m. but he wasn’t on it.

His family hadn’t seen or heard from Rose and RCMP reported the man had a medical condition that might make him disoriented.

Edmonton Police Service announced Friday morning that Rose is safe and sound in Edmonton, Alberta.

The RCMP thanked media outlets for their assistance in the search for Rose.
