Woman charged after man stabbed outside gathering in Brooklands area

A city woman has been charged after an 18-year-old man was stabbed outside a gathering early today in the 1800 block of Midmar Avenue in the Brooklands area.

The man is in stable condition in hospital.

A woman went to the gathering with the victim. Just after midnight she stabbed him in the upper body after asking him to go outside with her, police said

The Air1 helicopter, canine unit, tactical support team, and patrol members found the suspect in the 100 block of Willowbank Street.

The woman, 32, has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and four counts of failing to comply with conditions of recognizance.
