Man stabbed by strangers on street

A 20-year-old man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the West End early today.

Winnipeg police said they were called about a stabbing in the 500 block of Langside Street at about 1:40 a.m.

Police said the man appears to have been walking near Sargent Avenue and Langside Street at about 1 a.m., when two unknown men confronted him and one of them stabbed him.

Police said the man was rushed to hospital in unstable condition, but his condition has since improved.

Nobody has been arrested.
