Man, woman sought after boy approached

An incident involving a 12-year-old boy Thursday has Winnipeg police searching for two adults today.

The encounter occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. in the area of Sargent Avenue near Erin Street. The boy was approached by an unknown man and a woman, who began to ask him questions. The boy fled the scene and immediately notified school staff.

The 5'5" male suspect is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 32 years old. He has black hair and a black moustache, and was wearing a black sweater and black sweatpants.

The 5'10" woman, 29, is described as Aboriginal in appearance, with long black hair. She was wearing a black sweater.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at (204) 986-2877 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
