Marsch, Deezar commit to university football teams

Ryan Marsch, the nation’s top quarterback in junior football, and Théo Deezar, the quarterback who led the St. Paul’s Crusaders to the Winnipeg High School Football League’s ANAVETS Bowl (AAA) championship, have committed to university programs for the 2012 season.

Marsch, 20, has agreed to join the University of Manitoba Bisons football team while Deezar, 17, has committed to the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees.

The 6-foot-1 Marsch was a member of the Winnipeg Rifles last season when he led the Prairie Football Conference in passing and set a record with 3,030 yards. The 6-foot-5 Deezar helped lead St. Paul’s to a 10-0 championship season.
