Winnipeg police are looking for a man following a scary car-jacking in the Maples area Wednesday morning.
At approximately 6 a.m.in the 100 block of Marbury Road, a 30-year-old woman had gone out to her car with her 6-year-old daughter. After placing the child in the car, she then proceeded to brush the snow off the vehicle.
As she swept the snow off, an unknown man came up and demanded the keys. She refused and the suspect produced a knife, stabbing her in the lower body before taking the keys.
The woman was allowed to remove the child from the car and the man sped off. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle, a 1998 green four door Honda Accord with a Manitoba license plate GMX 393, was last seen heading south on Marbury.
Police are looking for a man of unknown race, approximately 40-years-old, tall with a skinny build and small moustache. He was wearing a white jacket.
