It’s a little too wet and a little too chilly for the butterflies today.
The Assiniboine Park Zoo in partnership with Monarch Watch, the Monarch Teachers Network, and Nature Conservancy of Canada will tag and release a collection of monarch butterflies from the Shirley Richardson Butterfly Garden tomorrow at 1 p.m.
The release was originally scheduled for this afternoon.
This is the fourth year the zoo has done the tag and release with the monarchs, which travel south to Mexico for the winter every year.
