Some of the locked out NHL players will be playing hockey in Winnipeg next month.
Members of the Winnipeg Police hockey team, the Patrolmen, will suit up with some local NHL Players Association members for a charity game Nov. 17 to benefit The Dream Factory and the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The Patrolmen will suit up and play for local stars Andrew Ladd and Mark Stuart, who will captain the two competing teams.
Const. Shaun Chornley, the event organizer, said the NHLPA lineup is uncertain at this time but invited players include Dustin Byfuglien, Brian Little, Jim Slater, Olli Jokinen, Tanner Glass, Colin Wilson, Shane Hnidy and Jonathon Toews.
Tickets for the game, which will be played at Max Bell Arena, go on sale Tuesday and are available at all local Boston Pizza restaurants, and at the officer of The Dream Factory and The Children’s Hospital Foundation.
