New Bombers licence plate available next week

A new Winnipeg Blue Bomber licence plate will be available to Manitoba motorists next Monday.

Justice Minister Andrew Swan, minister responsible for Manitoba Public Insurance, made the announcement today.

"This new licence plate, combined with the Bombers’ new uniforms and logo and helmet design, truly signals the beginning of a new era for the Blue Bomber organization and its loyal fans," Swan said.

The design of the new plate will be different from the previous one, which quickly sold out last year. It has a distinctive gold colour, sporting the club’s new helmet logo, the iconic white W with blue trim.

The new plates will cost $70 and be available May 28 at all 300 Autopac agents. The Bombers will receive $30 from each plate purchased.

When a limited-edition Blue Bomber plate was introduced last year, all 8,100 plates were quickly sold. That plate remains valid.
