New Year's Eve party-goers can catch free bus home

Manitoba Public Insurance and the City of Winnipeg are reminding Winnipeggers to have a safe New Year’s Eve.

The city is providing a Free Ride with Winnipeg Transit that starts at 7 p.m. tonight. The Free Ride is both regular and Handi-Transit service. Final buses will leave downtown at around 1:38 a.m.

For route and schedule information visit winnipegtransit.com or call 311.

This is the second year that MPI has partnered with Winnipeg Transit to provide the free New Year’s Eve service and reduce alcohol-related collisions.
