No big Lotto winners in Manitoba, but secondary prizes still nice

  • Print

Although no one in Manitoba won the biggest Lotto 6/49 jackpot in Canadian history, a couple of local people came away winners of substantial prizes Saturday.

With a flurry of ticket sales late in the week, the initial $55 million actually grew to be just over $63 million and was split between four tickets, with one winner from Alberta and three winners from British Columbia.

The winning numbers were: 2, 10, 17, 19, 44, and 47. The bonus number was 40.

But there was good news for a few Winnipeggers. Eighteen prizes of $74,434.70 were won across Canada for tickets with five out of six numbers correct, plus the bonus number. And one of those tickets is somewhere in Winnipeg.

Another lucky winner from Winnipeg won the $250,000 EXTRA prize on Saturday. The winning number was: 2 7 4 1 1 2 0.
