Former home of Wagon Wheel being demolished

The Norlyn Building is finally coming down.

The four-storey building at 309 Hargrave St. was home to the Wagon Wheel Restaurant as well as doctors' offices and a pharmacy.

The demolition will make way for the construction of 311 Portage at Centrepoint, a $75-million hotel, office, residential and parkade complex. According to plans put forth by Longboat Developments, the site will be used for a 464-car park beside the hotel.

The Norlyn Building was built in 1903.
