Vacant house in North End burns
A vacant North End house erupted in flames Monday evening.
Winnipeg firefighters were called to 404 Manitoba Ave. at about 8 p.m. Monday after a fire that started on the main floor of a bungalow spread into the attic, a fire department spokesman said. There were no injuries.
The fire caused $60,000 damage to the house and another $5,000 to its contents, the spokesman said.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
