Woman killed in collision on Notre Dame

A female pedestrian was killed early this morning when she was struck by a vehicle that had been involved in a serious crash at the intersection of Notre Dame Avenue and Isabel Street.

The woman was 53 years old.

Police will likely release more information later today.

Initial reports suggest the two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection around 6 a.m., and one of the vehicles then collided with the woman standing on the sidewalk near a bus stop in front of the Independent Jewellers.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service central traffic unit continue to investigate.
