October rolls in with mild weather, but brisk days on way

Read it and weep.

Environment Canada is calling for a slight chance of flurries on Friday.

At this point, there's just a 30 per cent chance of precipitation that day and a high of 8 C, so it seems rather unlikely. But consider yourself warned.

Until then, however, the first half of the week's weather is shaping up to be rather pleasant. Today, expect a mostly sunny day with a high of 19 C, while Tuesday will be even warmer at 21 C.

For Wednesday, some clouds roll in and there's a 30 per cent chance of rain, with a high of just 12 C.

Things turn cooler Thursday, with a high of just 9 C expected, setting the stage for the possibility of snow early Friday morning.
