Overnight stabbings probed

Winnipeg police are investigating a pair of early-morning stabbing incidents.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed around 2:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Regent Avenue West.

One person has been taken into custody.

Another man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the 700 block of Flora Avenue around 4:30 this morning.

The 29-year-old male with injuries to his upper body was located and transported in unstable condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The investigation revealed that a 36-year-old male and the victim became involved in a confrontation. As a result, emergency responders were summoned.

The investigation continued by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.

The 36-year-old male has been arrested and is facing charges.
