PETA promotes vegan fare instead of turkey dinner
PETA is erecting a billboard in Winnipeg that promotes a vegan lifestyle instead of a traditional turkey dinner in time for Thanksgiving.
The billboard, which shows an animal that is a cross between a turkey and a dog, reads "Kids: If You Wouldn’t Eat Your Dog, Why Eat a Turkey? Go Vegan."
PETA, short for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, plans to run the billboard near public schools in Winnipeg, the organization said in a release Wednesday.
