Pair robs Henderson Highway restaurant

Winnipeg police are looking for a pair of suspects after a robbery Monday morning.

Officers were called to a restaurant in the 1900 block of Henderson Highway shortly after 7 a.m. after two males entered and confronted a 20-year-old female employee at the counter.

One of them produced a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register before they fled the area in a vehicle.

They are both described as Caucasian, with one being 30 to 40 years of age, about 5’10" tall, with a skinny build and a greyish beard and moustache. The other is described as being in his mid-20s, about 5’11" with a skinny build and short dark hair.

Nobody was injured during the incident, which is being investigated by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
