Winnipeg police had been contacted by Transport Canada Aviation Enforcement about the man, who had previously been warned by the agency regarding his paragliding in a restricted area.

The man did not have a licence to operate paragliding equipment inside the city limits and was arrested.

He has been charged with dangerous operation of an aircraft and was released on a promise to appear.
