Woman hurt in collision dies; man to be charged

  • Print

A woman hit by a car has died of her injuries, and a man known to her is in police custody and will be charged, police say.

The 35-year-old woman suffered extensive injuries at the intersection of St. Anne’s Road and St. Mary’s Road about 2:30 a.m. Police haven’t specifically said whether she was struck by a car, which was being driven by a 35-year-old man, or hurt in some other fashion. She has since died of her injuries in hospital.

The man is expected to be charged, though police did not release what charges would be laid. The investigation is continuing by the Major Crimes Unit, and more information will be released Thursday.
