A 10-year-old boy was struck by a van just before 9 a.m. today near the corner of Westminster Avenue and Langside Street and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Police say the victim is in critical condition.

Police are on the scene of the collision, and have closed Westminster between Furby and Young streets to traffic and pedestrians.
