Manitoba Conservation confirmed a helicopter made an emergency landing into Kississing Lake in northern Manitoba on Sunday. Both the pilot and passenger got out safely, with no injuries.
The chopper tipped nose first into the water in front of a lakeshore home of a Sherridon resident.
The chopper was under contract to the fire program of Manitoba Conservation. Choppers have been working all week combating a forest fire near the area.
An investigation is underway, a Manitoba Conservation spokesman said last night.
