Two men have been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery near Polo Park mall Saturday.

Three friends — two women and a man, all 18 years old — were walking to Omand’s Creek after an afternoon of shopping when they were surrounded by several suspects and held at knifepoint. Over the course of more than an hour, the trio was robbed of cash, identification and cellphones and threatened and assaulted. One woman was robbed of her bank card and PIN, allowing one of the suspects to withdraw cash from her bank account. The man was also assaulted.

Wednesday at about 3 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old near Denson Place and Wolever Avenue.

Both are facing three counts each of robbery and forcible confinement. The 17-year-old is also facing a charge of failing to comply with court conditions.

Both are in custody and police say more arrests are pending.
