Winnipeg police have released the drawing of a suspect in Wednesday morning's attempted abduction of an 11-year-old girl as she walked to school.
The child was in the area of Arbuthnot Street and Warsaw Avenue around 9 a.m. when the alleged incident occurred.
Police say the girl described having an unknown man grab her by the arm and try to pull her down Arbuthnot. She said the older man didn’t speak, and she managed to break free and run home where police were contacted. There were no physical injuries.
The suspect is described as: Caucasian, 50-60 years of age, short with a small build and a mole on his face. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, maroon toque with pompom and scarf around his mouth.
