Winnipeg police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot in the head in West Broadway early Wednesday evening.
An official from Broadway Four Rivers Medical Clinic at 647 Broadway said a man came into the clinic with gunshot wounds and knife wounds.
He said a doctor stabilized the man, who was then taken by ambulance to Health Science Centre.
Police were reviewing video footage from outside of the clinic, the clinic official said.
Another staff member said it appeared as though the man had been shot in the head.
The Winnipeg Police Service has not confirmed the report. No further information is available.
Karen Joseph, an area resident, said she tried walking into Four Rivers Clinic with her daughter for a doctor’s appointment and saw blood "all over the floor" in the entrance. She was told the clinic had been closed, and wasn’t told why.
Though Joseph said she sometimes sees criminal activity going on in the neighborhood, she said she'd never seen such a large police presence at the building.
