  • Print

Police are investigating a robbery at a restaurant Monday night on St. Mary’s Road.

A 17-year-old clerk at the eatery was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after she was sprayed with a "noxious substance" during the 9 p.m. robbery in the 1000 block of St. Mary’s Road, police said.

Two males with concealed identities entered the place. At the counter, one of them ordered some food. When the clerk opened the till, the second male sprayed the clerk while his partner grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the till. Both fled on foot.

There are no suspect descriptions.

Police said the major crimes unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
