Yellow tape is up as Winnipeg police investigate a gun-related incident in the North End this morning.

Police remain on scene after shots were fired in the 700 block of Redwood Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. A male suffering a gunshot wound transported himself to hospital. The severity of his injuries and his current condition are not known.

The investigation has tied up traffic in the neighbourhood. Redwood is down to one lane between Arlington Street and Parr Street. Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
