Police investigate sexual assault on Pembina Highway bus

Police are investigating a sexual assault on a bus passenger who was allegedly groped and followed.

The sexual assault allegedly took place Tuesday after the 21-year-old woman was on a bus going northbound on Pembina Highway.

The woman said a man touched her leg while she was still on the bus, causing her to get out near Pembina and Crescent Drive.

The man also left the bus and then began following the woman, and groped her lower body.

The assault ended after the woman went inside the place where she was heading,

The suspect is described as an East Indian man about 40 to 50 years old, with sparse facial hair.

He wore a hat and a pulled-up hood, as well as glasses and a dark jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call District 6 investigators at 986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 786-8477.
